Hey ya’ll!

Maybe like you, my absolute favorite books to read are small-town sweet romances. I started out with Harlequins back in the day and have now moved on to read books by Debbie Macomber, Jenny Colgan, and Nicholas Sparks, to name a few. I love’em!!! They are all about ordinary people, like you and me, who are struggling to make it through life, but in the end, love conquers all. So, it’s no surprise that I’ve been drawn to write these types of stories.

Having recently moved back to Alabama reminded me how much I love living in the South:

Southern Hospitality really is a thing.

The pace is just a tad slower down here, especially in the summer.

We’re close to the beach.

Of course, my stories have to include my other passions, like majestic STORMS, delicious Southern FOOD, and most importantly, sweet LOVE. Yes, I’m a big sucker for Hallmark movies. Seriously, what else does a girl need to be happy?

As an author, writing stories is the ultimate zen. It’s in my soul, and I feel empty without it. Writing books feels like I get to hang out with some of my favorite people for a few hours at the end of each day. I should mention that I still do find time to hang out with my hubby, and he doesn’t feel all too neglected. My dog and cats just pile up around me when I work on a project. Life is good.

In the end, if my stories brighten my readers’ day, even just for a little while, it’s all worth it to me!!!
